Discuss Tampered floor & ditra? in the Canada Tile Advice area at TilersForums.com.

Hi guys.

Got a job in 2 weeks which requires Ditra. builder has tampered floor quite hard so the floor is no way near flat enough for matting...
What do we do in this instance guys?

I personally would prime concrete slab, thin layer of SLC to flatten it out, then matt it.

I would do the same but make sure you give consideration to the finished floor height...

Thanks Alan, the finished floor high isnt a problem, the area to be tiled is stepped up from the rest of the house.

Cheers mate.
