we are planning a wetroom on the ground floor we are not using a floor kit just laying on the concrete floor should we tank the floor and walls. need some advice asap

I prefer to use membranes for tanking.. much quicker to use and better to make sure you get a water tight seal..

I'm not saying you should use Schluter Kerdi as there are other products, but this page should show you what to do, plus there are other videos showing other tips.

The Schluter gear is good, so is Dural.
Really think about the project, never cut any corners and only use good quality adhesives and grout.
