It definately works, used to use it few years ago.
And for this particular situation is ideal imo.
It's only being used for a safety net, not a front line defence against moisture ingress as such.

It was the 1st time I had used it for a while.
The walls are tanked with Aquadefence & Mapei tape in the corners.

I've got some Tilemaster self adhesive tape, I'm sure that'll be fine?
