Taping more than just thermal board joints

Hi all, quick question - I've laid Marmox thermal boards and taped the joints; do i also have to tape where the joints meet the skirting boards/basin/toilet etc? (suite was already installed so boards were cut to fit).

No wetroom but in case of bath/ basin spills i thought i'd have to tape round the lot - hoping that a Silicon sealant will be fine though! Also - after laying the UFH i'm okay to use BAL Rapidset flex to immediately tile onto it right? My concerns are that i may need to level over the wires first - particularly as the tiles are natural stone mosaic and (given each stone's small surface area) the uneven weight distribution when using the floor will lead to some stone bearing more weight than others and i don't want to damage the UFH wire. Ah, while i'm on the subject of UFH - the instructions say to carve a path for the heating probe and however am i best to used a tube and put the probe into this in case it has to be removed at some point?! If so what should i use.

You can use a Silicon to seal the edges...but if you are fully tiling the room then just use tape..it will be quicker and a better job...

As for the ufh, if you are using a stone mosaic, then i would deffo slc over the top to get a nice flat surface to tile too.....i use mapei fibre plan....

The probe needs to go between the wires and not cross thier path...The make i use comes with a flexi tubing for the sensor, so it can be removed if it fails....so if you can come across something then so be it, but check with the manufacturer first for suitability..
