Terracotta tiles

I have a job to do which involves laying porc tiles over some existing terracotta tiles. Intended to use flexi rapid.
Also 1/2 the room is terracotta and the other 1/2 is concrete, is that a problem?

I would surgest a mat over the old floor to prevent any latteral cracking Durabase CI would be Ideal for this.

I agree with wetdec..An isolation membrane would be ideal here........

We didn't gazza..we just tiled and hoped they didn't fail..lol....

But with today's building methods they are becoming more of a necessity i think to guarantee an installation on certain substrates...

I think the days of..OH!! it will be alreet missus doesn't wash these days...:lol:

I agree, certain instances...like the poor quality travertine it's an absolute must, any movement and it will show..

theres bound to be wax or linseed oil on the tiles
