Did you realise how much of a favour the Chancellor has done us today. Knocking a penny off beer means you have to drink 1000 pints every 7 days to save a tenner.

Not a big enough reduction to make me start buying rounds though :lol:

In actual fact, he knocked a penny a pint off AND cancelled the 2% year on year duty escalator imposed by labour in 2008. If/when I become Chancellor or Prime Minister, I will introduce entirely different measures to save the pub industry.
Naturally I have a whole series of other eminently sensible proposals in my manifesto, all of which designed to put the Great back in Great Britain.
