I was in TG earlier today and a bloke came in saying that he had a self adhesive laminate stuck on top of vinyl tiles. He was struggling to get the laminate up so what adhesive could he use to stick tiles on top? The staff ummed for a while then turned to me. I just laughed and walked away, there's no telling some people. Even the TG staff agreed that the fella will still tile on top even though we all (including the Mapei tech dept) said get it all up.

theres too much of this at the moment, ive been trying to price tiling jobs for the new year, ive priced the jobs to include required prep even though when I went through the job with them they have refused overboarding and want to prep themselves. they think they are saving money

its going to take a while to build up the tiling so im dealing with inteligent, sensible people who just want the job done right, its taken all year to get into that position with decorating now ive got to start the same process with the tiling side of the business. I want a jotm banner and I wont get one doing idiot jobs for idiots, Im made to feel as if im trying to bump the job and stitch them up as the other tilers who priced the work said it would be ok to tile direct on the chipboard floor
