does this stuff really work? hoping to be able to use the thermal floor boards for ufh but just in case this looks like the solution! gimmick?????

If your putting ufh on a screed floor the will absorb large amounts of heat so thermal board do work.

yes thats what i said the therma acoat is a paint on substance the replaces the need for boards but sounds a bit gimmicky. link here:

Well the spec says it is suitable for use on screeds that are to have electric UFH and tiles installed. I've never used it so can't comment any further.
Is there a reason why you can't use thermal insulation boards, as normal?

Budget and height but hopefully ok now. Just interested And seems a bit strange that no one has used it. will take time out the job as well. Person who can't open link. Type therma coat into google.

had a look , its the same as the thermal coatings used to reflect heat back into the room. someones had the bright idea of repackaging and remarketing

to reach the the same thermal capacity as boards you have to give multiple coats, and that could be a lot of coats

cost of material
time spent on application
drying times between coats
down time on site

its all cost implications and just how do you judge how many coats equell a board, everyone applies at different thickness
