I used to go to the royal airshows I've seen a real one do almost that.

That's a model for sure. They'd have taken his license off him if it was real and he was that low doing that.

the fact that there is no pilot sort of suggests its a model...

This is similar to the one I saw. The guy with the model is mimicking this technique.
