Tile Adhesive

I need some advice! I have taken up old vinyl tiles and now want to lay ceramic tiles. Since the (screed) floor is still tacky from the self-adhesive tiles, is it ok to use standard adhesives? or should I prime the floor first. Any help would be gratefully received.

You need to remove as much of the sticky stuff as you can then prime either with an epoxy primer or at least and SBR primer before tiling.

sometimes that stiff is easier scraped when hard !!
i could be scraping in a couple of weeks time myself,i have a wooden floor to lift and its stuck down and i then have to tile the floor.
