:thumbsup:I have done it both ways, neither wrong. Although Enduro has a point re: future moves of units.
 
Lots of variables on this one.

How thick are the tiles?

Check the distance between the basin and the wall as this can be very narrow in some cases. When tiled it can make it very hard to get a nice Silicon finish between tile and basin.

Check your pipe work isnt too close the wall if it comes out of the floor as it can be too close the back of the unit if you tile first.

Personally I tile first.
 
personally I like to fully tile behind the units, as enduro says, in future if you alter your units you're not having to source tiles again:thumbsup:
