tile cutter a not stright cut

cutting tiles, say its 6inch one end, 7inch the other, pencil line, when I cut on my plasplug wet cutter, £30 job, it is quite hard to see the line with the brick coulered like water from the cutter, as im not cutting a straight line. is there a better cutter to place on a angle to cut? when it gets to the end it also breaks before the end, I have to trim off, cheers

why dont you use a manual cutter..?

i would get one now, make life alot easier, a £30 plas plug cutter is more for diy use, you need to be spending £100 plus for a decent wet cutter something like a vitrex, but would be better spending that money on a manual cutter..

Dry cutter for straight cuts, you'll save on time and money.

Change the water regularly to see the line and cut into the tile from one end about an inch in , then turn and cut in from the other end.. this will stop break out then when you can , purchase a scribe cutter for straight cuts..

cheers, couple of questions, my edge tiles that will be silicone over do u file the end, or just place down? also ive a tile giant tile black a [h=2]Almansa Black Floor Tile I dropped something, and its chipped in the middle, about 2mill, I know I could replace, but only just done it, is there anything to try cover, someone said expoxy?[/h]
