Is it ok to use wet tiles?

I have a wet tile cutter and am about to use it quite a lot as have loads of cuts to do and wondered if it is ok to fix wall tiles straight after they are cut when they are wet on the back?

I can't believe pro tilers wait until the tiles are dry before fixing.
