tile cutters

i have both rubi and sigma cutters!! the sigma is overlooked by a lot of tilers but trust me its a great cutter!! would u agree gaz ??
Never used a sigma Kap,but if your vision isn't impared with dangling snapper bits,I'd probably like it.Do like all Rubi stuff, always use wedges essential bit of kit for detailed work.

Ive always used rubi both wet and dry, have four in total, always fancied a sigma though, whats the benefits?
the rubis weakpoint is diagonal cutting, the sigmas are great for this!! ive used the rubis tx cutters but i dont like them too heavy and fiddly to use!!

A snap cutter can not have a weak point surely!!The rubi snapper will give you an accurate line (within a pencil point)It is the(crack the tile) bit that is in question....am I wrong? If a tile does not want to break along a weakened score line in its glaze ....why slag the cutter ..slag the operator, try a different method like wet saw,I know we havn't got the time have we??????

gaz gaz gaz keep your hair on m8!! the rubis a great cutter but the sigma is much better for diagonal cutting ,if you have ever used one you will know wot i mean!!!

Most of the sigmas are pull to scribe, and i think the rubi's are push to scribe? And do the rubi's have two handles one for scribing and one for snapping, whereas the sigma's have one handle, alot quicker in my opinion

You can get a handle for the Sigmas called a "Klick Clock Handle" which allows you to push to scribe.
