tile edges painting

Could anyone advise me about painting or otherwise tidying up the edges of tiles?
We are having a double row of tiles fitted in our kitchen and the top row will have the tile edges exposed.
The tiles are dark green and the edges are whiteish alothough some have a few green streaks.
We do not like the trims we have seen and are wondering if we might paint the edges, either a matching green if we can find the right colour or maybe off-white.
If we can paint the edges is there any particular type of paint we should use?
Any advice would be much appreciated

Can I ask why you don't like trim? Professionally mitred trim looks top notch, I guess you've been put off by poorly fitted trim you've seen elsewhere?

Trim seems to be plastic. It's a matter of taste.

Try looking at Schulter and Genesis metal trims. Aluminium is cheapest and doesn't look that far off brushed steel. If you go for stainless steel then expect to pay more.

people have tried other sites and come back to here when they realise the advise they were given was duff

right painting the bisque on the edge of ceramics isnt cheap

you want a tin of zinnser gard to seal the porosity and then you can choose a high gloss oil paint to match your tiles, take a tile into your paint merchants to match the colour

A customer of mine used Airfix enamel paint on tile edges and it was very good.
