Tile spacing & trowel size!

What tile spacing is recomended for 1.wall-8mm porc. 30x42mm & 2.Floor 12mm 300x460mm nat.trav sq edge,and what size notch trowel should i be using for both apps.?Thanks.

10mm for either unless the walls and floor are really bad, if they are go the 12mm.
As for joint size i would do 1.5-2 mm for wall and 2-3mm for floors.

If the walls are nice and flat you can use a 6mm trowel, the floors will be the 10mm.

I would say 6 or 8 on the walls (depending how you apply with the trowel) and a 10mm on the floors. The other factor is how you mix your adhesive and which brand name are you using. Are the 30x42mm wall tiles not on mats, if not have fun, or have you the size not correctly noted.

Peejay the trowel size is as I stated earlier, Just make sure the walls are in good order.

Are you putting 300x420 on the wall?

Yes 8mm pocelain.

8mm on walls and 10mm on floors,if the floor is concrete i would go for 2mm joints as per the walls

It is a wooden first floor t&g replaced with wsb ply.
