Tile trim advice

Hi all,

just putting some tile-rite round pvc trim around a window, above the bathroom. Have butted the tile to the trim as per instructions on a similar trim manufacturers website(image trim) but this leaves only a hairline gap for grouting is this right as I'm wondering whether or not the grout will hold? any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks

hi, you could use Silicon if not sure but grout should hold.

If the trim is not sticking,use some adhesive and put it back on wall.Next time tile then before adhesive gets a chance to set get a small cutting of the trim and scrape adhesive from behind tiles so that u can just place the trim in place once you have all your tiles fixed.Hope this helps in the future.

On a smiliar theme, I bought chrome tile trim this week. The guy asked me what depth of tile it was for, and I told him 9mm.

So he gave me 9mm trim. Am I correct in thinking that he should have given me 12mm trim, because the tiles don't fit into the groove!

typical of a sales man, no brains to think about adhesive depth, yes 12mm i thinks so..
