This has been doing my head in for two days, and i just can't see how to get around this external corner!?! I have an external corner to trim, but 1 side of the corner is going to be tiles to the ceiling, the other side is only to be tiled half way...

Can anyone slap me in the right direction please? :mad2:

The square trim looks odd to me on this one, as it would be showing the wide edge on the bottom half of the wall, but would have to be turned the other way at the top, only showing the narrow edge!?! Is that the only way around it?

The only other way i was thinking was to use rounded trim straight up to finish the floor to ceiling part. Then treating the half wall as a seperate entitiy and finishing the trim back slightly so it just touches the edge of the other trim... I kinda like the look (just holding two bits of trim to the wall), and the customer doesn't care either way, but i'm wondering if it would just look naff, so thought i'd better find out the correct way to do it.

what about, the side that's going to the ceiling, you keep the edges tight to the corner and only trim up to the height that the other tiles are coming up to?

That's a possibility, but might look odd as the other side will have to be trimmed up to the top. I'm starting to think the square trim is the way to go now. God this indicision is killing me!! lol

Step the tiles back about an inch or so that are going to the ceiling, then you can return the trim to the half tiled section...or you will have to double trim and that looks crap...

I'm not visualizing that Dave!?!

Beanz, I have the same problem next week. Does the double trim look naff.

I'd say it looks 'different' hehe! I haven't seen it up, and am a bit reluctant to try it, as this job's falling behind as it is.

looks like beanz,s first half of statement bout the square trim is way to go

Yeah i think that's what i'm gonna go for, just gotta change the trim over, for the square trim now. The customer's gonna be getting dizzy lol!

Cheers guys.
