hi all just would like to know how you cut a tile trim for window when do you cut standing up (trim not yourself :dizzy2:) and when lying flat on my last job had problem getting them to meet up nicely managed in the end but maybe just luck. Is there a different way for internal and external ??? I know the best way is to get some and practise but im after your expertise tiling knowledge. Thanks

Thanks BC and AP much appreciated. Yes a mitre block and junior hacksaw is what i use. So i cut trim lying flat for top and bottom of window (face) and standing for both sides (reveals) hope ive got it :hurray: once again cheers lads

No mate, flat for top / bottom and verticals if your 'framing' a window, stood up if your going along the wall and returning into the window reveal, toward the window.

Just remember Mr Trim stood in his window and layed against his wall. lol.
Surely that's the wrong way round!?!

I don't think so, the way I read it is no matter where 'Mr Trim' lays against his wall, either inside the reveal or on the main wall, that is where the back of the trim sits, back flat against the wall, just the cutting technique then ?

Maybe i'm reading it wrong!?! The way i see it, if you're cutting trim around a window, it would need to be layed in the mitre block. If you lay it against a wall ie. if you were only tiling to half room height, you'd stand it up in the mitre block.
