Tile trim

I've already purchased some 400 x 300 x 10mm wall tiles, I decided to get some plastic edge trim and rang around a local tile supplier, he said the 12mm would be fine.
My question is....
My tile thickness is 10mm so I would have assumedI needed 10mm tile trim, or is the 12mm needed because it includes the adhesive thickness?

12mm is the outside measurement. The inside, where the tile sits, is less- probably about 10- 11mm. The 1 -2mm difference is the depth of the long L piece of the trim.

i usually put the tile beside the trim before i buy it . some time a smaller trim works better if the tile is beveled a lot . just make sure its not too big as that can look bad too

moved to correct forum, but yes 12mm will be the trim you'll need.

Why metal? Just out of interest..
