Masking tape never works when grout is involved mate, you always get some sort of over spill were it doesn't stick right. I started this game as a painter and decorator some 14 years ago (a flash in the pan for some of you) and If I could offer you guys some advice it would be buy some decent brushes. Purdy brushes are the way forward, been using them for years and no one comes close

Got mine from tiletrader, use them around baths and showers. Very handy indeed.

Colour Republic, I've done exactly the same thing with the wedges to lift the skirting board. Much easier than mucking around with masking tape, and you achieve a better finish.

As for wedges, use them on virtually every job. Lots of different uses:yes:

I used the ones I got in my floor laminate kit, I thought "I can use these at work" a couple of days later I saw them on tt's site. Never actually bought any off tt yet 'cos I keep forgetting to stick them on my order!
I tend to use random glazing packers,usually by 50 of each from 1mm to 5mm ones

I've used various methods before, from cardboard to screws and panel pins, even chewing a 3mm spacer down to size....now I know there's a proper way:embaressed_smile:

I'd be lost without my wedges,love em immensely,lol.
anyway i got more this week from TT,but i have bigger ones too,i bought them local from a RAIMONDI stockist,raimondi make bigger ones with different colours in single bags(red,green,white).
superb quality,try googling them,not sure where online,well worth having.
