Ok im thinking of tiling the cheeks on my dormer windows on my new roof.
I have looked at all the alternatives and would have had lead but i have to have an antique brown roof tile to match the surrounding houses.
So im thinking of a cream polished porcelain to match the what will be cream (ish) K-Rend finish at the front and rear of the ground floor.
My problem is i have never tiled anything external apart from sand/cement for patios.
There is nothing on the plans about the substrate for the cheeks and would normaly go for 18mm WBP ply, however im thinking now about 12mm hardi backer with tanked joints and tiles on top.
So, can anyone think of any problems i might encounter, suggest adhesives for external use.
