Proper Job

I would not work for less than £100 per day, by the time your van insurance and public lib insurance, petrol and tax and wear tear on tools and stuff and then when it comes to holiday pay oh and class 2 stamp in the real world that works out at £50 - 60 per day if that and don't forget you have to give 12 months warrenty for your work.

Any tiler should be aiming at £125 - £150 per day or your betting of working for aldi at over £8 per hour.

IF YOUR A QUICK TILER AND GOOD YOU CAN EASY MAKE £600 IN HALF A DAY

EXAMPLE

20 SGM 12" FLOOR TILE DIAMOND PAT £30 PER SQM = £600 LIVING ROOM, DINING ROOM OR EVEN KITCHEN FLOOR SHOULD BE NO PROBS AT ALL TILE AND GROUTED.

AND HIS NAME AINT CLARK KENT EITHER

Good tilers in Belfast can ask £180-£200 per day no probs but be careful you could stroke yourself by putting yr gob in gear before yr brain. eg todays work was 35m conservatory at £15p/m =£525 see what i mean. HAPPY DAYS i,m of for a pint of emergency tile adhesive now ! ( thats guiness to you lot )

I take it the intention of the post is to try and get an idea of how much you either should be earning or how much you could expect to earn.

You will find that no 2 tilers charge the same, Some price on a day rate and others price per job.

The thing to do is work out how much you are to work for. If you are happy with 300 a week then charge 100 per day for a 3 day job. I think it would be foolish to expect to get 5 days every week so if you get what you want over 3 days then anything above that is a bonus.

If you then get inundated with work then you can expect to increase your day/job rate.
