tiles too heavy for saw?

I am currently working with 615 square porcelain tiles (11.5mm thick).

My cutter is a Rubi ND180 with a Marcrist CK850 blade.

I am having a mare cutting straight lines. One cut, earlier, was 5 mm out over its length. I could see it deviating but couldn't correct it. I can only put it down to the tiles being to heavy to slide across the "table" correctly. Any suggestions as how to reduce the friction? I have noticed that they are starting to score the plate.

Never used the cutter but it comes recommended as does the blade, have you tried a different tile to see how it goes, maybe try an off cut off the tile your using.

why are you using a wet saw for straight cuts are you mad on pocs

Get a manual cutter, will be far quicker and straighter.

Oops I thought he meant for normal cuts on a wet cutter, as above get a dry cutter, still doesn't explain why your cutter is running off

Yep. Its the smallest Rubi do. 180mm blade and 0.7hp on the motor.
Although Rubi state in can cut a tile an inch thick im sure that's more gauged on the blade. Id say the weaker motor would struggle with the porcelain tiles he's trying to cut.

the marcrist blade is known for wandering on hard materials I had 2 on my saws and took them both off as they make it impossible to do a straight cut

Is it the 180BL range or just the standard model?. Can't see any pictures here though.

Don't care what blade is in it, you would struggle to get em perfectly straight, no where near as good as a dry cutter !

Yes Alan but ok for 150 x 150 ceramic but like using a hammer to crush a car :yikes: are you back ?
Hungover are you a pro tiler or diy ?
