Tiling 5 years s/e how do i get an NVQ2?

Sounds like a good idea tbh Dom, I think I'll start taking more pictures of the processes and stuff I'm doing, that way if I do decide it's the route to go I have the evidence all sorted.

If you want to do site work then you do need one, and the sooner they are a requirement in order to get a long overdue license for working in domestic situations the better. It will get rid of the chancers and lift our image.

just started doing my nvq 2 thru ewp, firstly find a college that does nvq tiling courses then make contact asking about ewp route they normally do this although from my experience people taking calls had know idea regarding this route! so important to speak to tutor then you should be able to sign you up with a quick chat and site visit you ll have to make sure your public liability upto date then hey presto start collecting evidence of your tiling etc and references1i must add i contacted Darren at nett and he pointed me in right direction (very helpfull) thanks

I have been tiling for 12 years, and prior to that spent 2 years in a tile shop, coming from a family back ground of construction workers covering many trades, I personally consider, that given the world we live in today it is very important for individuals to support their trades and have the qualifications for that trade, I completed my NVQ2 last year. I have sub-contracted tilers locally with 3 time my experiance and quite frankly I would only contract those with official qualifications. It does pay off Good luck in your training
