Tiling a bathroom floor

My partner is going to tile my bathroom floor but said we can't use the toilet etc for 12-24 hours as the tiles can not be walked on
Is this true when tiling a floor or is there anyway round it?

Use rapid set adhesive , 2 to 3 hours.

oldest trick in the book! Partners are always tiling stuff then pretending it can't be walked on. Honestly, we get get get 2 or 3 of these per week!

Get a length of plastic guttering just long enough to reach from the bathroom door to the loo........

As above.. Use rapid set. Just make sure your partner only mixes up small amounts, as it goes off quickly, and it's easy to end up wasting half the bag.

I'm probably late to the party but Rapid Set worked fine for us and we could (carefully) walk on it within a couple of hours, for a little bit.
