Tiling a log burner

Hi,
I've been asked to price some tiling inside a log burner ( back and two sides )
He wants it tiling in slate
Plus the walls are brick and wants me to supply everything
I don't need help with a price just wether or not I should entertain the job
Never tiled inside a fire place or log burner only around so not sure on regulations or the best way to go about it regarding the best materials to withstand the heat
I could do with some advice please

I have only tiled a hearth, but was informed to use a SPF (not polymer modified) as these can break down with extreme heat.

I take it the log burner is sitting where a coal fire would have been & he's wanting the inside of the chimney breast tiled?
I think people are imagining inside the actual log burner.. [emoji35][emoji27][emoji35]

I think any stone/slate would be fine , not ceramics.

Ive seen and also rendered many alcoves before a log burner goes in, weak mix with lime so its more pliable ,no problems.
Render it, tile it, or cement board it,stuck with addy and plugged and screwed , then tile away
