Tiling a reveal on window

When tiling round a window what is the best adheshive to use when doing the top and sides of window and the best way to do the top.Is it better to put battons on to hold tile up or ?

it depends on how heavy tiles are phil, I usually put barrens up to support tiles, and if i have any rapid set adhesive I'll use that. I tile the top first as well so the side tiles give a bit of support when they're tiled

I use bal white star, comb the reveal thencomb back of tile the bed them babys in. Of course dependant on tile weight!
