Never used anything to hold up the top of the window reveal no matter how big the tiles, comb on adhesive back butter tiles bed in...they ain't going anywhere, just try pulling one off.

I use bits of timber forming a T, I always have bits of wood laying about to make one to suit
They look good....like a big Silicon gun are they stable once in place..?
a properly bedded tile is going nowhere, combed substrate, back skimmed tile, it's gonna be more comfortable staying where it's at rather than breaking suction before it's set and dropping into a bath or wherever.

I use rapid set adhesive with an excelerent hardener goes of in about 3 mins. saves messing about
Never used this hardener you talk about(Jesus that doesn't sound right lol) Can it be used for standard set?
