Never used anything to hold up the top of the window reveal no matter how big the tiles, comb on adhesive back butter tiles bed in...they ain't going anywhere, just try pulling one off.

You would have to be brave to do that with a 600x300 porcelain tile and a bath below the window...:yikes:

I use bits of timber forming a T, I always have bits of wood laying about to make one to suit

Same as me....just looking for a more quicker, simple solution that can be reused. ..

They are surprisingly solid......and easy to use one handed, whilst the other one is leaning over to hold the tile in place.

Jesus now I'm worried...everyone using supports??? I got that tip 8 years ago and to be fair never had a tile drop off anywhere, 600x300, porcelain, marble or whatever over a bath sink or loo, never give it a second thought till now

I have them......but hardly ever use them. I just tape the hell out of the tiles. Only because I can't be arsed walking out to the van again.

a properly bedded tile is going nowhere, combed substrate, back skimmed tile, it's gonna be more comfortable staying where it's at rather than breaking suction before it's set and dropping into a bath or wherever.
