Tiling around a window?

I'm about to start tiling the bathroom using natural limestone, however how do I stop the tiles from slipping/falling off the inside the window (i.e. underside at the top) and above the window (on the wall).

Is the adhesive strong enough to hold it in place or should I build a timber frame to hold it all in place until the adhesive goes off?

Hi

If you stick an offcut to the head of the window it will give you a guide to how far the tiles on the reveal head will need to come out. You then need to batten the reveal head to hold the tiles up once these have gone off you can rest the other tiles on them.

Tiler....I think I get you...i.e do the underside of the window with the lip sticking out beyond the wall face and have these held in place with a baton until the adhesive dries. Once this is done I can tile the remainder of the wall above the window by placing the tiles on the lip.

I think this is what you said but in a different way.

If you want to do the reverse then you batten across the head first and slot the reveal tiles in behind, you will need to batten twice then tho

Superb....I've got loads of spare timber at home to use as batons so I can get something sorted with ease!
