Tiling around doorways

Ok guys thanks. So 2mm gap then Silicon. Is the Silicon bead 2mm also or slightly thicker. I have Silicon tools but the smallest bread would be 5mm.

The architrave is quite shallow and the tile is quite thick. New architrave would solve your problem.....and a bit of Silicon. Did the tiler tile over tile?

It doesn't look to me like you have enough of an edge to get a decent bead of Silicon. I'd take off that architrave, pin some wood the same thickness as the tiles to bring the frame level with the tiles then fit new, wider, architrave to cover the edge of the tiles. Quick rub down, lick of paint, job done.

I'd just add another piece of moulding to the arcitrav that's there now! It will overlap onto the tile give the frame better definition and then you can use decorators chaulk to the gap which can be painted ( Silicon can't).

Thanks gents. That's probably what I'll do but can you or has anyone done any jobs whet the tiling is finished without architrave. Someone mentioned tile time instead of archis earlier

I'm not a great fan of it tbh, if it's all new standards & level & plumb then it's ok but anything old I would do as said above.
