tiling external steps

I've been asked by a friend to tile the external steps leading up to his front door and also the path at the bottom. I've did internal tiling jobs before,but this is the first time i've been asked to do one for outside.
Apart from using the correct tiles,adhesive and grout,would anybody suggest any essential tips on laying out the job? etc...

Just make sure that the tiles are frost proof

Wait for it to stop raining!!!! In the same boat myself. Just waiting for nice weather to tie in with a bit of free time:shades_smile:

I will be starting with the sides and then working my way up from the front bottom step. If anyone else has a better way I would much appreciate hearing it guys.
