Hi everyone,

I have been asked to tile a concrete kitchen floor, So I am asking for advice on how to tackle this job please. The room is 12 square meters and has a fitted kitchen with all the apliances still in it. Any suggestions would be gladly received.
Many thanks,
Jimmy.

Is it level? you could use slc if the floor isn't even. You could use a standard set instead of rapid gives you more time to work with.

if you remove all the whites (washing machine etc), make sure they will fit back under work tops after tiling:thumbsup:

Do I need to prepare the floor and what adhesive would be the best to use? Not sure what tiles are going down yet.

remove kickboards and cut to suit once finished as it gives a much better look,

mind to cut them from the top as that parts hidden from view and wont be seen if any raggedy *** cutting is done by you lol, nice clean edge down to tiles

if ceramic then prime floor using sbr the standard rapid set, if porcies or stones then prime floor, seal tiles, flexi 1 or 2 part rapid set dependant on choice.

If the floors in good level condition, then I always give it a good scrub with sugar soap, rinsing well, then prime it with an acrylic primer following manufacturers guidelines, then a rapidset cement based adhesive "with porclebond" if using Porcelain tiles, removing all kickboards and white goods.

I always give concrete floors a coat of sealer, usually sbr diluted 1:3 (sbr:water) to seal any dust. I use a single part flexible adhesive
