Buffalo Tiler

Am starting a large job in a commercial kitchen which is covered with 45m2 of altro which is in good condition and stuck very well. I have tiled straight over altro before after priming the surface but on a smaller scale. Im in two minds weather or not to spend a nite shift ripping it all up(and probably the latex with it) or to use a decent primer and go straight over the top, preferrably the latter! Any tips would be appreciated, thanks.

I tiled over Altro once. I didnt want to but the contractor had a chat with someone from Weber adhesives and we ended up using a SPF adhesive.
I would rather take it up though by hiring a flooring tile remover.

Im a firm believer of taking floors as far back as possible. If it is a case of you not getting the job if you wont tile over the top then Id look at going over the top but if it is just because it is going to be more work and hard work to remove it, Id defo remove it. Do it right-do it once. Would be loads more work to put it right later on down the line so why risk it?

Also I dont like it when manufacturers say that their gear will work on this and that, Id hate to try and get ant money back from them if it all lifted :yikes:
