If the floor is sound, boards are clean and well secured....two part elastomeric adhesive is fine. ensure that you have good solid coverage and put a polymer in the grout to impart flexibility....Gaz

yeah mate as long as they are in good condition and they arent cracked and loose u can lay on top of them. if they Ply the floor. i have a similar job coming up and im not plying im just fixing with GRANFIX ULTIMATE FLEX.

just remember ur grout has to match the performance of your adhesive so only ultimate flex grout or equivalent would be ok to use.

hope this helps mate

I have used it a few times now. Very easy to use, it mixes very thinly and gives full coverage without back buttering.

Have a look at my posts in this thread, advice given to me directly from Ardex tech support. http://www.tilersforums.com/tiling-forum/9515-tiling-onto-chipboard-floor.html#post76941

I find the stuff so flexible that my first bucket I used the stuff in I didn't clean properly, when I tried to clean it again a week or 2 late I couldn't shift the stuff. It bends with the bucket (gorrilla tub)!
