Be quicker to take the bath out, take it back to block and board.

If it's existing how comes it dips in an inch?
The bath has tongue and grove panelsall around, thats all staying put, i think the wall has always been like that, it may have had paper on it nd they just lived with it, the lady lives on her own with her elderly mother so may they had a go at trying flatten it a bit with some gear from the local diy.
So would you use sand, cement render?
Browing and skim?
Or something else, taking it back to bricks not an option on this one.

D, knock it off, u can't straighten with browning/bonding over the old plaster(im guessing sand/lime motar, knock it off and board, leave the bath in, knock it off and board, it will be about half hour longer of a job ;)

Do you think 12mm hardi backer fixed with board adhesive
