Tiling on plasterboard

Hi,

Im Tiling my bathroom i believe you can tile straight onto plasterboard but do you have to pva it first or not as everyone seems to contradict themselves on these forums ?

Its not contradicting, Some people do and some dont....but most dont use PVA...Use a tile prime or SBR.

Do NOT use pva do us an SBR if that's what the adhesive manufacturers recommend onto bare plasterboard, can't see it being many.

Unless you're using small ceramics combined with a ready-mixed adhesive in which case you dont need to prime at all.

No need to prime plasterboard at all but does no harm tanking the wet areas and taping the joints.
