Hi, putting down porcelain tiles on the floor of an apartment that has solid concrete floor but with a sound proof underlay stuck to it.
A tiler friend advises there is no need for flexible adhesive and to just use normal adhesive. He says the combination of heavy tiles and the underlay pose no risk as theres a solid floor and no risk of movement. Is he right or will I have cracked tiles in a few months?

hello bantanlan....welcome to forums...

When tiling onto sound proof matting ( acoustic) you should use a flexible adhesive...it might be onto concrete but the matting is subject to movement through expansion...
BAL do an adhesive specifically for that type of job.........dave..
