tiling on wood

bathroom floor tongue and groove floorboards if i use backer board how thick and how best to fix? Barry

hi barry if the boards are solid then a 6mm cement board,lay a bed of fe=lexi adhesixe cement based with a 6mm trowel on the floor,lay boards and pad down to eliminate air pockets/voids and screw down as well

As above, stick down with flex adhesive and screw every 200mm. The floor MUST be solid, cement boards are fitted to provide a more suitable surface to tile to and not to add strength to an existing floor.
