hi,i have just taken old wall tiles off in my bathroom and the old plaster has come off leaving uneven brickwork,i am just asking if it woulod be possible to tile over the brickwork and make the tiles even with the tile adhesive.

hi cooper, the preperaration of the room is very important,as above i would dot and dab the walls with plasterboard and drywall adhesive and also 6mm ply is too thin if the floors defelction free a 6mm cement board froma tile shop will do the job

have you tiled before cooper

No you cant. 12mm aqua panel for walls. If ive got this right youve taken down the tiles and the plaster has come off with the tile exposing the bare brick. You then say your only tiling half way up the wall. Has alot of plaster come off or is it patchy? If its patchy then i would patch the areas up to be tiles with bals quickset render can tile on it after 4hrs. The other areas which i persume will be painted id patch back up with plaster then when dry paint. If most of the plaster came off then do what everyone else says knock off all plaster and dot and dab new plasterboard.

yes i am tiling a shower area but i will be using 12.5mm aqua panel but could i use 6mm aqua panel on the wall where i have bare brick this wall is nowhere near the shower area
