I've just dot and dabbed some plasterboard on a 2m squared wall and need to know if I have to fix it to the wall with any other fittings before I start tiling. I'm using 25mm x 33.5mm tiles (6mm thick) with a mosaic border.

Also, I've been told by my brother in law to use floor adhesive on the walls especially around the shower area as this will be more waterproof. Is this ok to do?
Thanks
Geoff

As penno said, don't bother with flooring adhesive, use something along the lines of Bal Whitestar as it gives good grip and excellent water protection.

Tanking "in my opinion" isn't needed for domestic showers areas as long as you do a good grouting job, and use a good microban Silicon and grout.

Yeah agree Fekin wouldn't bother with tanking myself mate but an option if you want that added extra protection.

And BTW geoffr tanking is basically a system you can buy from any good tile retailer that is applied to the walls to make the area waterproof. (if you didnt know)
