Tiling onto MDF and tiling onto tiles

Hi all,

Just been round to see a mates downstairs toilet, he has blocked a load of pipes in leaving a flat wall floor to ceiling in MDF,the other three walls are already tiled 60cm x 60cm. He wants me to tile straight onto the MDF and tile over the other tiles with 100cm x 100cm tiles which he already has.The remaining tiles seem sturdy enough. Do you think it would be ok for me to tile on these?,and would I have to prime the MDF?, or what preperation do I need beforehand?...Many thanks.

bal mosaic-fix goes straight onto mdf, just make sure it at least 12mm thick and screwed in rigid as for tiling on top of 60x60 with 100cmx100cm (1metre x 1metre?) what thickness are they? with the 60x60 thats a lot of weight hanging on the wall i think you will be better of taking the existing tiles of or tell your mate not to buy ridiculously sized tiles
