Tiling outsde balcony

Hi,
been asked to tile a painted concrete balcony about 6 sq. Im thinking flexable adisive an grout would be the right thing to use, correct?
also am i right in thinking it needs to be a porcelain tile.:guitarist:

if the balcony is painted id strip the paint of with a scrabbler and use a porcel bond adhesive with flexible grout

you use a scabbler too , mines air run which is a pain to set up as you have to bring the compressor and hoses

have you found a leccy one

I would remove the paint, also depends on the substrate?

other things to consider colour of tiles and size as black for example will move like mad, also consider using a Dural matting to absorb movement as direct sunlight onto tiles will cause stresses to form between the tile,adhesive and screed.

Make sure you leave perimeter movement joints and its always advisable to use a skirting tile to help stop water ingress.

Do all of above then you'll be fine.
