Tiling over existing Porcelain tiles

Hello,

I'm hoping you can help. I've currently got some Porcelain QRock tiles, these ones - QRock Black Wall & Floor Tile (30x60cm) | Topps Tiles on my concrete kitchen floor. My wife has decided that she would now like some quartz tiles.

My question is; can I tile straight over the top of these? They are solid and have only been down about 3.5 years.

I really don't like the thought of ripping them up. If I had to though, do they come up easy and how easy is it to get a clean flat surface afterwards?

Personally I would rip them up and make good the substrate ready for new tiles.

Thanks, that seems to be the answer from most of the post I've read.....

I'm really not looking forward to it. Would it be best to use a leveling compound afterwards just to take up some of the unevenness.

Hire yourself a sds drill with the breaker option, should make it a lot easier..

I should be able to get my hands on an sds drill. Whats the breaker option? A chisel?

Yes mate use a wider chisel and place it between the floor and tile, sometimes the vibration can loosen the tiles..
