just wandering if i can tile right over my kitchen floor tiles they are well fixed so was hoping to just score the tiles then acrylic prime them then bang the new one s on top plenty room for the heights or do they require a slurry coat first save me stripping old tiles up:wink_smile:

AS LONG AS THE OLD FLOOR IS SOUND AND NO CRACKS, NOT A PROBLEM.
REMOVE AND LD RESIDUE i.e. grease, soaps etc and then prime.
WHEN LAYING NEW TILES TRY TO STAGGER JOINTS OVER EXISTING ONES AND WOULD BE WISE TO USE A MODIFIED ADHESIVE TO GET A GOOD BOND.

It's ok to tile on tile providing they're stuck well. I copy DH with his advice although Brian is right, it's peace of mind for sure if you can get them up easily. I think I'd tile them if they were stuck well enough and they didn't sound hollow anywhere.
