Hi all.
So I have an extension floor (40m2) and an existing floor (20m2) which meet and want to tile with 600x600 porcelain.
The extension floor was screeded (sand and cement) a week ago and is 80mm thick. Over the length of the 10m room it's within +/- 5mm as is the whole room. This means that in some places it's 10mm different to another.
The existing screeded floor is uneven and not level. The new floor has been made a but higher to allow some self leveller to improve existing.
So my plan was to level the existing best I can with a leveller then use Ditra matting across the lot. Then use a thick set tile adhesive to help even out the undulations in the new floor.
I would like to self level the new floor but would have to wait months from my understanding.
