Hello everyone. I am undergoing tile fixing training at the moment at Chase Tiling Academy. I am really enjoying it and it is in complete contrast to my previous job in quality control. This type of work obviously makes me want to get things right first time with the best finish possible.
I have built up my tool kit to complete most basic jobs but obviously a lot of experience has to come from the 'on the job' learning and occassional mistake. I hope not.
Having virtually no knowledge of tile fixing before the course I now cringe every time I walk into my bathroom. Though I have been commended a few times for the appearance of the bathroom, now I know a bit more about tiling I can't wait to knock it all off and do the job properly.
No doubt I am going to learn a lot from you more experienced tile fixers out there whilst I peruse the forum pages. At the moment my ambitions are to complete my diploma course, to acquire my first job and complete it successfully, become established within the tiling community and to be accepted into the Tilers Arms and enjoy chewing over some of my more difficult jobs with the good old boys.
Thanks for reading my introduction. Obviously all help by way of hints and tips and pointers are always welcome as is anyone who will let me watch them or help them complete a project. Look out for me, Russell
