I am
I am a specialist tiler and I charge between 40 to 75 pound a m² and your close I make around 150,000 per year. I make more than doctors. Happy life
I work a lot overseas for similar rates. The plus side is that wet areas are often fully tiled ( 25 to 30 mtr wall and floor) with large living areas 40 to 80 mtr so more area to lay although vinyl and wood effect floors are becoming fashionable too

Tiling Rates Per Square Meter / Per Day – How much do tilers charge?

I know this is a hard one to answer. But just as an approximate guide for those searching for how much a tiler costs, and landing on websites such as my builder who seem to be selling tilers for pennies, how much you been charging either day rate or per meter generally?
Perhaps if you could split your work between your fancy stuff, and your bread-winning stuff over the past year or so, then do that so we can see the difference.

And then perhaps price per floors and per walls? If different at all.
Just wanted to get the facts straight for those searching, as £150 per day or £20 per meter isn’t what I’d expect to pay anymore. It’s not the 90’s lol

Tiling Rates Per Square Meter - How much does tiling cost?

It appears to be a bit of a post code lottery perhaps. So we thought we'd get a bit of a thread going to see what others charge and why.

How much do Tilers Charge?
Tiling costs can vary depending on location, job complexity, and the tiler's experience. Generally, tilers charge either a day rate, a per-square-meter rate, or a fixed price per job.

For standard tiling work, most tilers charge around £30–£50 per square meter or £200–£300 per day. High-end or intricate work, like mosaics or large-format tiles, can go up to £70+ per square meter. Floors and walls are usually priced similarly, but prep work (like leveling floors) can add to the cost.

Pricing also depends on location—London and the South East tend to be more expensive than other areas. If you're getting quotes much lower than this, be cautious, as quality might be compromised.

Who are the most tilers? Where are you getting this information from?
