tiling uneven walls

Hi, my bathroom walls were half plaster half tile,having removed the tiles I am left with half plaster and half very uneven wall ,what is the best method to strighten them for a DIYer

Dot and dab plasterboard would be easiest.

I would say dot and dab is easiest but if you can do abit i would use carlite bonding and straighten them up this way use a derby (straight edge) and youll be fine

if you are not bothered by losing a few millimetres from your room then dot and dab is the way to go, but remember to remove the arcitrave from around the door (if tiling full bathroom) and replace after the plasterboard is up, so that your new tiles do not sit proud.

don't use bonding because you will then have to skim it as you shouldn't be tiling onto backing plaster. best bet if not dot and dabbing would be to use a one coat plaster, then flatten out with a darby or feather edge.
