tips on setting out

sort of mate i got a bay round the back and didnt get much attention sharon was not helpful and clinton was the best there he was ill for the duration of my 4 weeks,ihad him for the last 3 days i was gutted some of the army lads said he payed so much attenchion if you needed it,strugglin to get my head round setting out thats all my work is neat and tidy tho...

What about Tony who works there did'nt he get involved with the training

when i do mine i either mark centre tile at the top half and centre joint at the bottom, or do them in different colour pens, the thing i thought wrong with having a stick, is having to keep getting new ones as tiles are all different, am i right in thinking that

I use a 2m straight edge and run a new strip of masking tape along it each time. mark the 1 tile + 1 spacer distance all along and it's easy.

What a good offer from above cant ask for more than that,what i will say is your better spending a good hour setting out and knowing exactly where your tiles are going to be and your not leaving your self any difacult cuts.

The advice above is very good but sometimes putting it into practice needs some hand holding.

centre the most eye catching part of the room if its a floor lay some tiles down dry so you no exatly were they are goin to be fixed doing this also gives you a chance off looking for shade difference of damaged etc
